Program Benefits
The MARC Program provides financial support for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing graduate school in the biomedical sciences. Please visit the MARC Program Student Benefits Page to read more about the MARC program's benefits.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a full-time sophomore or junior undergraduate student at KU, including transferring to KU
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Intend to attend graduate school in a biomedical-related field

Instructions
To apply for the MARC Program, you will need to submit an online MARC Program application form. Before completing the MARC application, you need to have several documents ready. Please review the list below before starting your application.
Application Required Items
Your transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (since high school). Please just provide unofficial transcripts. Sending screenshots of your transcript pages, or similar, is fine. At KU, you can request you unofficial transcript by visiting the Office of University Registrar website. A similar approach can be taken for other colleges/universities.
Your resume (limit 1 page) will need to be submitted with the application.
Please upload a statement of interest in the MARC program, not longer than 750 words. We would like to learn more about you from your statement of interest. Specifically, we are eager to understand your career goals and how your personal background has shaped your decision to attend college and pursue your chosen path. Let us know what motivates you to pursue a Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences. We also are aware that access to opportunities varies among students, so please feel free to share with us challenges you have experienced in achieving your goals.
When completing the application form, you will be required to provide the names, email addresses, and contact numbers of two people who can write letters of reference. If you would like advice on who might be appropriate references. please contact the MARC program coordinator at MARC@ku.edu.
